The challenge
Every social network promises novelty, yet almost all of them look alike. With Cheese we asked ourselves a serious question while playing: what was the wait for a developing polaroid like? And above all, how do you design from scratch a social network that holds up: feed, users, interactions, and a backend that does not collapse when the community grows?
The solution
We treated the case study like an actual product: concept and interfaces designed around the polaroid idea, and behind them the complete architecture of the social backend, with users, content and interactions modelled as if in production. A proving ground for the challenges of community-driven projects.

The results
- A complete product concept, from the idea to the final screens
- The social architecture is designed and documented as if for production
- The experience gained pays off in every project with a community
